I have to say that I love how these clothespins turned out:
I used clothespins purchased from Home Depot and red and blue acrylic paint. The star buttons are Jessie James, purchased at Hobby Lobby and the twine is from May Arts. After you let the paint dry, use a sanding block to distress the edges and voila! Distressed, Shabby clothespins. Perfect for a 4th of July picnic! Hope you like :-)
The clothespins in the first picture were partially painted with pink acrylic paint and then I stamped "THANK YOU" on the unfinished part of the clothes pin. The "THANK YOU" stamp is available for purchase in my Etsy store here. There is also a new "MAHALO" rubber stamp in the same font.
The second set of clothespins were spray painted white and then covered with pink gingham washi tape. I then added a pink paper flower to each clothespin. These are also for sale in my Etsy store here.
